All week I couldn’t stop thinking about the disgusting display of hate and racism last weekend. It got to the point I had to step away from social media because it got to be too much. I’m sad that this is the world my son will grow up in. You’d think we as a people, would be making larger strides and progress towards a more accepting and peaceful world at this time, in 2017, but it seems to get worse and worse, faster and faster, one step forward and 10 steps back. It’s really upsetting.
But all I really can do, what I do have control over, is how I choose to raise my son, which is to not have any hate in his heart.
But on a lighter note, my mom is here! And we’re going to do the Yarn Along the Rockies yarn crawl. I’m so freakin excited about that! I hope you have a great weekend. I’ll be drowning in yarn.

Nobody wants your stuff
I’m finding that our generation doesn’t want “stuff” regardless of how long it’s been in the family. There’s no room for clutter, no room for something that isn’t going to be used frequently, no room for something that will just sit there gathering dust. The way we live, the kind of houses we can afford, it’s not always possible to have a hutch to store expensive plates in that you’ll only use twice a year. I obviously feel pretty strongly about this. Perhaps I’ll write a blog post!
